Find Out What’s Changed in the Acura Certified Pre-Owned Program
There are a lot of uncertainties when it comes to buying a pre-owned vehicle. The previous owner, or owners, might have put the car through some serious challenges. It’s hard to anticipate the condition a pre-owned vehicle is in.
It can feel customers are playing a guessing game when they are shopping for a pre-owned vehicle. There are a few different ways to find out some information about what a pre-owned vehicle has been through, but there isn’t much that can guarantee its quality. Acura has a certified pre-owned program that helps offer some peace of mind for customers. They’ve recently revamped their program, so let’s look at the changes.
New Acura Certified Pre-Owned Program
First, we should establish what a certified pre-owned vehicle is. Certified pre-owned vehicles have been through a rigorous inspection process that checks every detail of a car. If a car isn’t able to pass the inspection, then it doesn’t become a certified pre-owned. Everything that can be repaired is repaired. Certified pre-owned vehicles are also relatively new. So, what’s changed in this new program?
The inspection process is still the same, but the warranty that comes with it has been adjusted. Non-powertrain coverage used to last only 12 months or 12,000 miles, but it has been expanded to 24 months or up to 100,000 miles total on the odometer. The emergency roadside assistance also covers 24 months or 100,000 total miles as well. New CPO vehicles also come with a 3-month AcuraLink® trail and a complimentary first scheduled maintenance.
